1080p front projectors Want to project beautiful, enormous 1920 x 1080 high definition video, much
BIGGER than you can get from a rear projection television? Got a large enough room -- with minimal
ambient lighting -- to set up a 1080p front projector and projection screen? To get the best contrast, even a 1080p HD projector needs as dark a room as possible (projectors cannot actually project the color black) or you'll get washed out video.
The three 1080p front projector models featured on this page represent each of
the major front projection technologies that are currently on the market
--- LCOS, DLP, and LCD.
In addition to purchasing a 1080p projector like one of those pictured on this page and a home theater projector screen, you will also need to buy a separate home theater surround sound audio system (projectors lack
speakers), as well as at least one 1920 x 1080p HD source such as a Blu-ray Disc player so you've got
something "Full HD" to enjoy. Of course, if you want to be able to view high definition TV programming, you will have to also need to connect
an external HDTV receiver (and TV antenna, or HD programming package from digital satellite or cable) because projectors lack built-in TV tuners. |
